ABOUT SOUTH FORK PEAK SAVERS
South Fork Peak Savers is a program helping businesses and residents on the South Fork of Long Island reduce energy consumption, save money and preserve our environment. This energy savings assistance program is offered by Applied Energy Group, Inc., a local consulting company with over 30 years of experience in the energy industry. South Fork Peak Savers’ goal is to encourage energy efficiency and help preserve the unique environment of the South Fork.
Become a South Fork Peak Saver
The Hamptons are known for bigger homes, bigger pools, and bigger crowds as more and more people discover this beautiful destination. As a result, we also use more energy during the summer season when compared to the rest of Long Island. According to PSEG Long Island, if energy consumption doesn’t diminish, new transmission lines will be built. Each one of us can make small incremental changes, especially during peak (high volume) periods, to lower the load.
Replacing your pool pump, changing a thermostat, unplugging a few devices, or changing light bulbs are some of the small but important steps you can take to help preserve the character of the natural environment that makes East Hampton and Southampton so special.
COMMUNITIES WE SERVE
“So, we love our FREE Nests and the fact that this program is helping to reduce energy use on the East End especially during the summer season. It’s nice to participate in helping keep the electric use down – without even noticing it!”
“By simply signing up for Nest’s Rush Hour rewards program through South Fork Peak Savers, I received a check for $250! The process was easy, non-intrusive and most importantly, I’m helping my community reduce the peak electric demand. I found the Eco feature to be great and the fact that it uses my iPhone to know I’m almost home is very cool.”
“The South Fork Peak Savers program is an easy and effective way for every South Fork household to make a difference that saves energy and lowers their electric bill. It’s like getting paid twice to do the right thing.”
